About

AI-Native Software Engineer, author of a book on AI, speaking, and working with communities.

AI-native: AI is part of how the software is designed, coded, tested and shipped, not a feature added at the end.

Early signs

He describes himself as a bright child who talked a lot in class. A nursery report praised his results and noted he talked too much. He was double-promoted from Primary 3 to Primary 5. Junior secondary was a harder transition and he became an average student. In senior secondary he took the science class and fell for Chemistry, while Mathematics and Physics were a struggle. He still held on to studying Mechanical Engineering.

First steps into computing

After secondary school he learned Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access, made flyers and designs, then moved to Canva and earned small amounts designing for people and competitions.

Engineering and a difficult decision

He began Mechanical Engineering in 2018. His results improved in third year. In fourth year he joined an ALX Africa cloud programme supported by the Mastercard Foundation, attending a Lagos hub while studying in Ibadan, working through weekly modules and power cuts, for about nine months. He graduated with a CGPA of 3.23/4.00, Second Class Upper.

Building before the opportunities

He recorded educational videos on cloud architecture, kept going while struggling with camera confidence, and learned video editing, HTML and CSS and AI-assisted development. His LinkedIn following passed 4,000.

A setback on stage

At NYSC orientation camp in November 2025 he volunteered for his first debate and was picked to represent his platoon. Stage fright hit, and his teammate had to take over. After redeployment to Oyo State he joined DL4ALL CDS and deliberately sought out speaking, leading and hosting.

Where he is going

He is an AI-native software engineer who also writes, speaks and works with communities. Today that means building cloud and AI systems, sharing his book, teaching, and developing OjaRun alongside. He also wants to help businesses use AI sensibly. See what he is doing now.

How he approaches AI and business

His intended consulting approach, not a record of completed engagements.

  1. Understand the business problem.
  2. Map the existing workflow.
  3. Find where AI adds practical value.
  4. Weigh feasibility, cost, risk and requirements.
  5. Design or prototype a solution.
  6. Decide how success will be measured.

In unfamiliar places

First he observes and asks questions. Then he looks for patterns and the people and resources that matter. Then he uses that to contribute improvements.

Away from work

He dances, cooks, plays eFootball, studies style, and does his best thinking somewhere quiet.
